    By way of apology to those who prefer compact discs, we have a few dozen of the CDR promotional edition available. While not quite up to Radio Khartoum's usual CD packaging standards (jewel case alert!), it does include an illustrated 16-page booklet with lyrics, song notes by Matt Jones and a sleeve note by Frank Discussions. In fact, it includes several illustrations that the vinyl doesn't, including that damned, obligatory cat and catalogue thing that has dogged our last four Bügelfrei-designed releases.

We are joined on this song about a fear of heights by Anthony Rochester on tympani and Pat Grover on harmonica. Pat’s son Ellis, who once sang backing vocals on ‘Tokyo Rollerball Cheerleader Chant’, is now a high-wire performer—ironically enough. It is loosely based upon my younger brother, Mark Jones, who isn’t afraid of heights, or anything much really, a fact which always concerned me greatly. If there is a hint of ‘Space Oddity’ in the arrangement then it is more by chance than design, in itself a tribute to the nature and extent of Bowie’s pervasive influence on pop.
